A key to this practice is repetition of a silent mantra, which we call a “Yoga pose for the mind.”
This can be done on or off the mat, alone or in a crowd, anytime and anywhere, always to great effect. It is especially effective when you feel stressed and the mind is whirling.
The practice is deceptively simple: Silently chant OM each time you breathe in, and chant Namo as you exhale. This means “I bow,” and in this practice it means “I bow to the light of consciousness within me.”
When this happens, you are in a state of Yoga, merged with the present moment and Pure consciousness. Enjoy!
