The Fourth Step Into Yoga

The First Step Into Yoga is to close your eyes. The Second Step Into Yoga is to find your breath. The Third Step Into Yoga is to inhabit your body. The Fourth Step Into Yoga is to connect with Mother Earth.

Feel yourself fully supported by Mother Earth. Whether you are seated on the ground or in a chair, feel her support. Imagine she has open palms and is holding you in her hands. Feel her embrace and fully connect with it.

Become aware of her five elements: earth, water, fire, air and space. Notice they are everywhere. Every time. Always there. Notice too that they are within you. Feel the earth element within. Feel the water element within. Feel the fire within… the air within… the space within you.

Connect with Mother Earth. Remember that you are her, and she is you.

The Fourth Step Into Yoga is to connect with Mother Earth.

Had to share this with you! Loving blessings, K.

    i will wade out

till my thighs are steeped in

    burning flowers

i will take the sun in my mouth

and leap into the ripe air

    alive

    with closed eyes
